There are several scholarship programs in New Zealand for deserving candidates to fund their education. International scholarships are funded by the New Zealand government and administered by Education New Zealand

Scholarships and funding sources

Scholarship program are offered to students from developing countries. These overseas Development Assistance (NZODA) Postgraduate Scholarships include airfare, accommodation, living expenses and tuition fees. You can obtain these forms from the University International Center or your New Zealand Diplomatic Post.

NZAID or New Zealand’s international Aid and Development Agency is the official agency which is responsible for international assistance for the developing countries’ students. It supports basic, post basic and higher study education and higher study education in order to strengthen existing higher education institutes and system. NZDAS, the program under NZAID are for full time multi year courses in New-Zealand for higher studies through public and open category. NZDS scheme includes tuition, orientation fees, economy fare, travel a basic living allowance with the provision for accommodation expenses (paid by study institutes). Indian students can openly apply for NZDS categories (via universities). As a matter of fact, the Indian Government also offers Grants and Scholarships, to get more information regarding this; you should contact University Grant Commission (UGC). International and non-government organizations also grant Scholarships.
